Havok’s Plasma Detonate is the only thing that requires to use specific champions against him, else it won’t take more than a minute before you die.
What Champions are Immune to Havok’s Plasma Detonate?
Cyclops (Both Versions)
Cyclops takes not damage from Havok’s plasma detonate as well as special attacks. Please mind the Special 2 attack that is a combination of physical touch and projectiles. The ray (Projectile) in the end of Special 2 attack does no damage to cyclops, but the first part where Havok hits physically does the damage. Special 1 and Special 3 attacks are all projectiles, so it does no damage. Cyclops Special attacks will not any Damage to Havok as well.
Havok
Havok himself is the counter to Havok. He will not take any damage from those Plasma Dtonates. So it should be a normal fight.
Armored Champions
Armored Champions are immune to Plasma Detonate, but it should not be Passive. Champions like Iron Man Infinity War, Killmonger, Rocket Raccoon, Sentinel, etc. get passive armor that won’t work against Havok.
What champions gain Armor that is not passive to use against Havok?
- Silver Surfer
- Warlock
- Guillotine 2099
- Colossus
- Venom
- Angela
- Iceman (Ice Armor)
- Red Skull
- Vulture
- Howard the Duck
- Kang
- Ultron
Use a Champion that drains Power to prevent Havok’s Plasma Detonate
Yes, draining Havok’s power makes him lose all the plasma charges and start over. So if you keep draining power, you won’t have to worry about Plasma Detonate.
List of The champions who drain power
- Vision (both version)
- Spiderman (Stark Enhanced)
- Hawkeye
- Green Goblin
- Winter Soldier (Duped)
- Psylocke
- Civil Warrior
Note: Dormammu can also drain power, but any champion that deals energy damage gives him more charges.
Other counters
Archangel
Archangel can shut down plasma detonate as he applies Neuro. It is not gonna work against Havok on the Bleed/Poison immune node.
Taskmaster
Taskmaster gets immune to debuffs as his immunity cycles during the fight. Each debuff placed on him has 10% reduced potency and it gets immune quite soon. So he can avoid those damage caused by Plasma Detonation.
Bishop
Bishop works pretty great. His high energy resistance makes him take very light damage. So you can use him without any issue.
Havok Counter for Act 6.3.3
If you don’t land a hit in 6 seconds it applies the armor break. Land an attack to reset the timer.
Colossus: His armor cannot be broken. So you can fight without caring about Crumbling Armor Node.
When using the rest of the Armored up champs, just make sure the armor is not broken when the 10 plasma is on you and you should be good. Or just use a Power Drain Champ, Havok, Cyclops, Taskmaster or Bishop.
Colossus
There could be many other champs that I missed here to mention. Feel free to mention in the comment section, I would be happy to add it here.

You forget 1 great counter to Havok that is better than the ones you point out (they are good nevertheless) : Guillotine 2099
Looks what she provides:
Power drain? Yes every SP1, you even don’t have to touch the ennemy and she can drains up to 40% of the power
Armor : she has armor up buff (not passive) at the start of the fight and this is permanent. If the buffer is nullified somehow, it reappears after 4s.
Havok gains charges on critical hits ? She has no critical hits at all if you don’t activate her pre-fight competency
With her fighthing Havok is a cheese

Thanks for the feedback, I thought his armor is passive. But, yes, you are right.

Silver Surfer is not immune to plasma detonate, FYI. I just got destroyed by it
